Position Details:

The YMCA of Okanagan is a charitable association established over 35 years ago, dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities providing experiences to over 30,000 individuals annually in the areas of health, fitness & recreation, childcare, day camping, employment and community health.
Reporting to the Member Services Manager this person will be responsible for providing front-line staff software (DFM) support and troubleshooting with a thorough understanding of the DFM Operations, Centre Portal and Public Portal applications. As well this person will be responsible for administrative duties and some financial and accounting functions for the department, ensuring all are complete in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner while maintaining proficiency in operation of the Class customer service database and other registration systems.

  • $16.84-20.21 hourly

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support staff with completing transactions in the DFM Operations portal i.e. NSF transactions, member cancellations, staff set-up, and other membership administrative duties.
  • Work with the manager to ensure all staff have the required software training i.e. DFM, PCI, Child Protection, MINDBODY
  • Maintain PCI compliance and confidentiality of all information related to the YMCA, including members, employees, and the community.
  • Ensures the safety of all members, participants, staff, and property by following YMCA standards/policies/procedures and ensuring they are maintained amongst all members and staff while maintaining a strong working knowledge of all YMCA programs and service
  • Support a productive and cheerful team that provides excellent customer service through guidance, coaching, and feedback to Member Services Representatives and volunteers during operating hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Experience in office admin or accounting considered assets
  • Highly computer literate and a Microsoft office power user, experience with Microsoft Dynamics considered an asset
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six months preceding your start date. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork
  • Upon request provide three professional references. (Ex. employer, supervisor, colleague, teacher, coach, etc.)
